Meet Rupert the devil and Mycroft the angel.

Mycroft, our first basset hound, passed away several years ago and Rupert is our current senior hound. Holly is the junior hound we typically refer to as Rupert's sister. We still have the costumes, which were made by my wife Brenda's mom Jackie. The neighbourhood kids get a big laugh every Hallowe'en when we dress our hounds up to greet trick-or-treaters at the door. We award the devil's costume first, based on merit. The remaining hound gets the angel duds by default. Rupert was the devil again this year after he carried off a loaf of freshly baked bread in the middle of the night and devoured it, crumbs and all.

Mycroft is 10 and Rupert is 2.
