Short History:

Developed over the past 150 years in Australia, it is a combination of several British Terriers such as the Cairn, Dandie Dinmont, Irish, and Yorkshire. It is reputed to be an unsurpassed vermin killer. This is an honor not bestowed on just any breed. They can also dispose of snakes.

Coming from Australia, these dogs can get used to living upside-down and a move to the northern hemisphere can require a period of adjustment.
