Short History:
Once known as the Reedwater Terrier, it was originally developed to hunt alongside Foxhounds in the countryside of northeast England. It was then discovered that the word "Reedwater" sounds kind of silly. It is treasured for its ability to kill foxes and other animals who crept into the farmyard for livestock.
